Ahhh...that takes me back. Also one of my Mom's faves, along with the song "King Of the Road". (Forget who it's by, but I knew the words when I was little.)
Ah yes - Tennessee Ernie Ford's classic - TE was a flour pitchman in my youth - I think he might have had a syndicated variety show around the time (mid-to-late 70's). This song always intrigued me because my father and both my grandfathers were all coal miners. This choice was 32,000 pounds of fun, Luana! Thanks!
Craig: TE was awesome. I remember he was guest star on The Andy Griffith Show once or twice and played a cousin. Not only can he sing, but he was a real funny guy.
