D is for Daphne Moon

Welcome to the A to Z Blogging Challenge where I will post on a word
featuring a different letter of the alphabet each day of the month of April.
My theme for this challenge is Female TV Characters.

Daphne Moon - "Frasier"

THE STORY: Daphne Moon was hired by Frasier, a radio psychologist in Seattle, to be a live-in housekeeper and caregiver for his father Martin, a retired cop who had been injured by a bullet wound in the line of duty. Martin and Daphne live with Frasier in his beautiful apartment, complete with baby grand piano.

UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL: Daphne hails from Manchester, England and claims to be a psychic, which is ironic because she has no clue that Niles (Frasier's brother) is in love with her. She is a terrible cook but no one seems to care because she is so charming and down to earth.

Have you ever gone to a psychic?

Fraiser was one of my favorite shows, which is weird because I never really liked Cheers. Daphne sure looked different from the early episodes to the later ones. Not sure I liked that she and Niles got together. It was always so funny him talking about Maris.

Zelda: Yes, Daphne's look is totally different. I prefer the early years; she seemed more quirky.

Nope, never thought I had need of a psychic. :-)

Never watched Frasier either. Was too young when it was on.

Oh, Daphne! I remember her--such a quirky charming girl who brought a light to every show.

Misha: I didn't really watch it until it started re-runs. It's still in reruns. Hilarious. One of the best.

Susan: She was funny, kinda crude and brassy, but she had to be dealing with three men and a dog.

S.L.: Thanks for stopping by. Happy A to Z!

I loved Frasier too, and Niles and Daphne made the show way better than it would have been without them. I didn't know Daphne says she's psychic, though. That's interesting.

Oops, I forgot to mention I can totally imagine you as a hippie playing bongos. :D

I have not been to a psychic. I have also not seen much Frasier - but I loved Jane Leeves on an 80's syndicated sitcom called Throb. She's a marvelous actress!

Yeah, She was definately a little on the quirky side.

My family never missed a CHEERS episode, so naturally we watched Frasier once Cheers called it quits. Daphne Moon, who could forget such a great character!
I've always been tempted to go to a psychic, but never took the plunge.

Daphne Moon is a great "D" post! Well done, Luana!

Patricia: Yes, Daphne was psychic, but not always spot on. And...yeah, I'm channelling Maynard G. Krebbs.

Craig: Jane Leeves appeared on a Seinfeld episode playing Marla the Virgin in The Contest episode.

Debbie: So true. Quirky I like. Great idea for a "Q" word...hope somebody uses it.

Mandy: I've never been to a psychic but I do believe some people have paranormal powers.
