Tuesday Tunes: Taxi

My hubby introduced me to Harry Chapin when we were dating back in the 70s. This song was one of our favorites. We'd spend hours together listening to records. Good times.

As for this song, it's a beautiful story of lost love. The lovers' paths cross years later in a taxi on a rainy night in "'Frisco." Chapin is an amazing story teller.

"Taxi" was a poignant song all right. So too was "Cats in the cradle" about being there for your children.

I miss him.

Anthony: I loved Cats in the Cradle. It was the perfect song for Chapin's voice and style. A beautiful ballad.

I also enjoyed "30 Thousand Pounds of Bananas"...so funny!

I like Harry Chapin's voice, but I'm really only familiar with Cat's in the Cradle - I'll try to track down Taxi and give it a listen! Thanks for the heads up, Luana!
