Welcome to the A to Z Blogging Challenge where I will post on a word
featuring a different letter of the alphabet each day of the month of April.
My theme for this challenge is Female TV Characters.
Peggy Hill - "King of the Hill"
THE STORY: Peggy Hill lives in a ranch style house in Arlen, Texas, with her husband Hank and 13-year-old son Bobby. The Hills are a patriotic, middle-class Methodist family. Hank works at Strickland Propane and sells propane and propane accessories. Bobby aspires to become a prop comic.
UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL: Margaret J. "Peggy" Platter Hill is a substitute Spanish teacher, a freelance columnist, a real estate agent, a notary public and Boggle champion. Peggy is a real Renaissance woman and is extremely confident in all her achievements. Her only area of insecurity is her large feet (shoe size 16 and a half). Although Peggy is an opinionated know-it-all, she's a good wife and mother - and she makes a mean Brown Betty.
Do you have any Texas memories?

I was in the Dallas airport for a few minutes in the 80's on the way to Hawaii with my parents.
I love Peggy Hill and her freakishly large feet. As my old buddy Boomhauer might say "DangmantellyouwhutdangolPeggywiththebigfeetHank'swifeBAM!"
Love the loud Mrs. Peggy Hill.
Never been to Texas
Craig: Nice Texas story. I've got a million of 'em...oy!
Boomhauer drives me nuts! You really gotta listen to find a word you can understand. LOL.
baygirl: Peggy is awesome. That show portrays Texans to the Tee.
I've been to Waco (my father's family lived there and we visited when I was 10); to El Paso (our family took a trip to Juarez, Mexico and crossed the border at El Paso); and to Witchita Falls (visited friends there).
I've never been to Texas but this show used to crack me up! Peggy was a great character. :)
Happy A-Z!
Madeline: I'm a huge fan of the show. I have four seasons on DVD. Great Texas humor. But "real" Texans don't get it. LOL
I've not watched King of the Hill enough to know about Peggy's bi feet, but as a 5'3" who wears a size 11, it endears me to her!
I've been to Dallas several times, but San Antonio is the most fun I've had in Texas. Mexican food on the Rierwalk...mmmmm...
